Sin entered the world through one man, Adam. Death, through sin, entered and spread to all men because of Adam's transgression. All humankind falls short of God's glory and stands sinfully guilty before Him.
God deals with His people by covenant, and in Romans 5, Paul lays out the two possible covenant relationships men have with God: death in Adam or life in Christ.
Governing authorities are accountable to God. When they stray from just judgment, the Lord is not pleased. Ruling authorities should know that God stands in their midst, and they should judge accordingly.

We should be overwhelmed by God's knowledge, presence, and awareness of all things. God's knowledge is perfect, and through his special presence, he governs all matters.
God's love is made manifest distinctly through the objects of his love (his elect) by the price paid for their salvation and through the assurance given to those who have been ransomed by Christ's blood.
